We are all complex and unique individuals. Food choices are influenced by many factors such as health goals, eating behaviors, household dynamics, schedules, preferences, and so much more. There is no such thing as “one size fits all” regarding food choices, eating patterns, body shape and size, yet we are constantly surrounded by the latest diet trends and unsupportive messaging.
It can be challenging to decipher fact from fiction. Many people believe that the only ways to reach their goals are to restrict, have less, and enjoy less. This is not only unrealistic, unsustainable, and potentially harmful, but it very often leads to exhaustion and frustration, feelings of self-doubt, failure, and shame that compound with each new diet endeavor.
It is possible to maximize health, enjoy eating, and be at peace with your relationship with food.
There are a variety of strategies for maximizing health and reducing risk. I meet people where they are on their journey, providing information and guidance along the way. All nutrition education and recommendations are up-to-date, evidence-based, individualized, and practical.
As we explore eating behaviors and food choices, we will approach these areas from a place of curiosity rather than judgement. I believe people should feel liberated and empowered while working towards their goals.
